My computer decided that now it wants to run out of memory and so much as opening a screen my kill my computer. So I went off kill some files and then run the compressor. Well the compressor lied to me. It didn't take just one hour to do it took 8 hours!! I was so annoyed. But Im here. Anyone else out there? Anyway... just read about all the "excitement" on the P(SA) thread and think its a completely ridiculous move. I posted a response -- "Snuffed Out by Jasman" -- but don't expect it to last long. It's mind-boggling to think of how often people in here casually toss of Episode I spoilers... and not "intentionally" either. Hope no-one is working "too hard" this weekend (Shimmergloom???). BTW -- Darth Maul dies and splits in half.... right after he kills Qui-Gon while Obi Wan is trapped behind the red gate. IP: Logged |

If we are so bad for the PSA forum, why did they wait till we got past 200 posts to move us? 2. If Jasman is all powerful and this was the right thing to do, why did Precher Boy never appologize for closing the last thread instead of just moving it? By the way, I just came back from the PSA and without getting my calculator out, I would guess about 20% of the threads don't have anything to do with "prequels spoilers allowed". IP: Logged |
| absolutjedi Member | posted 07-31-1999 11:00 AM Well, here I am, working on a Saturday, and a Saturday beginning a long weekend to boot. Oh well, I shall attempt to do as much slacking as possible. Unfortunately, my work this weekend involves scanning several of our companies network drives and workstations for viruses. Therefore, if I don't pay at least some attention to my job, it may adversely affect my future slacking ability. So I guess I must sacrifice some weekend slacking time so that I can live to slack another day. Now if I was some poor kid in Germany or someplace where TPM hasn't been released yet, I'd hate to wander unsuspectingly into the Miscellaneous forum and find out right off the bat that Sidious is Palpatine, and Padme is really Amidala, and Qui-Gon dies at the end!!! I mean, that would just spoil the whole movie for me! How inconsiderate can the Admins get? Oh well. We'll have to keep trying as lazily as possible to convince them we really do belong on the spoilers thread. And I was really shocked to find that they'd moved Taryn's lounge in here, too! I could just say that I decided to promote myself to The because I am greater than the average sandfarmer but the real story is more complex. Basically, my password for the name Sandfarmer does not work anymore. Why? Beats me. I almost think I got banned for all the mistakes I pointed out that administrators have made or it may just be a computer error. You see I tried to change my password. I wanted a password I could type with one hand without caps (because I'm lazy) so I submited a new password. Then I tried the new password which theforce.net had confirmed but it wouldn't work. When I tried to find out my correct password I got a message that I could not access my profile because there were two emails registered to it. I have no idea what this means because I only ever used one email for the name Sandfarmer. Did I get banned or did I just confuse the system by asking for a new password? Anyway, it does not matter, I like my new name better. I did not even notice that The Sandfarmer name had reached member status. I was not trying or anything, I have just been fighting a lot with the administrators and it took a lot of posts for me to get over the hypocritical treatment the slackers and bashers have gotten lately. But, I'm over it and it is all behind me and The Sandfarmer lives on. p.s. Thanks for all the support that fellow slackers have shown me, C Creepio,Darth Derringer and all of those who have stood up for this forum in the various misc. and suggestions threads over the past several days. I have sent a few emails to theforce.net but I doubt they have any effect. (they wouldn't even help me with my password problem) Despite it all, the slack lives on. p.s. I guess we were some of the few intelligent posters on the other threads there and with us over here in misc. some really boring and redundant threads have worked their way to the top. The only fun threads left in PSA are the Jasman sucks threads and they don't belong in PSA either. (at least not my Jasman's explanation of why he moved us here) I finally bought the TPM novel yesterday (only $11.65 on clearence at Target and I got one of the last two they had left) so that will be my slacking project for the next few days.
