gundark I know what you mean. I am training one of my clerks to be a supervisor at a new store in the future and dreading the question, "So what do you do with the rest of your time?" I have certain duties that I have to do, but if you do them efficiently it doesn't take that long. I'm sure not gonna tell him I bring Star Wars books to work so I can read them while pretending I am working.Twi'lek Babe yeah we got sandblasted again. It rained enough to keep us home from our usual Tuesday night coffee gathering, but mostly it was that vicious dust storm like usual. I think Mesa got the worst of it, right along Power Road again. Probably poured out by my store. Remember that microburst a couple of weeks back? We were directly in its path. Pretty exciting weather, especially for here. IP: Logged |

Good morning slackers. I won't be around much today. I have a lot of out of office stuff to do but, that means I can drop in Toys R Us and Target and check on new toys. Yippeee!Slack on. IP: Logged |

Academia be damned. Yup. I'm sitting at University sucking up library bandwidth and taking up valuable "computer space". It feels good.Good luck with the storm everyone, and MTFBWY gundark. I was also kind of training a new guy in the last week of work, and it was difficult to disguise my almost complete lack of progress. It's also tough because new employees tend to "care" a lot and are genuinely productive. Fortunately, they usually burn out. Good luck with Chemistry JS. I hated it, but since I'm an arts student I don't need to give a damn about that anyway. IP: Logged |

Good afternoon, Slackeritaville! While not a true 'slacker story', Sandfarmer IV's enthusiasm for finding Adi Gallia made me chuckle as I remembered my shopping this past weekend. I went to an antiques store just up the road that has pop culture stuff, and LOTS of SW to be found, old and new. Saw Adi and Ki-Adi, and wanted them, but I'm such a slacker I didn't even have Darth Maul yet. So being short on funds, finally got Maul, and a robed Qui-Gon 'cause I just can't get enough. Had some fun setting them up on my desk here, as Qui comes with two lightsabers, so I gave the ignighted one to the un-robed Qui-Gon I already had so he can now face Maul with two blades!! Ha HAHH! Poor Obi stands there with only one blade...perhaps I'll find an un-robed version of him to steal his lightsaber from as well. Hell, half the fun with these guys is putting them in impossible settings, like letting Gonk drive the landspeeder.... Think we'll get another sandblaster tonight, Stellar? I remember that m-burst. Think summer will ever end? I'm starting to wonder! Acckkk, go I must, more slacking to be done elsewhere! IP: Logged |

Jedi Soul, why have I not seen you in my Imperial thread "The same old RAIN (Hah!) of terror is upon you! Cringe in fear!"? You slacker! Well, I know exactly what you mean daughter. I have a teacher who can hardly speak English and has the IQ of a toenail, so his class has already been deamed the place to sleep. We just get a seat facing the back of the room and IP: Logged |

Guess what my grade in Chemistry is...? An A, 93%!!! Ha, ha! Half of my class is failing this course! We got our test back today and I got a 96% on it... The essence of slack is when you slack and get away with it... Life is good ... for now... IP: Logged |

So, are you all OK, with the hurricane ? (I'm following the news from France.) I know C Creepio is in the way - but that Orlando seems out of danger - who else is in the middle of it ? Hey, couldn't you choose a country without tornados, without hurricanes, and without towns who are supposed to be destroyed any other day ? But at least, you don't have time to get bored. Ha - thinking of it - you don't have any active volcano. We have one ! In Martinique, yes we do ! [This message has been edited by Sabé (edited 09-16-1999).] IP: Logged |

Uh... Sabe?We DO have active volcanoes... Ever heard of Hawaii? We have one in Washington State too... Called Mt. St. Helen's. It "blasted into oblivion" in like 1980 or something and caused all this damage and death... IP: Logged |

DARTH TATER YOU MUST READ THIS...I was at a baseball game last night,(Indians vs. Boston Red Sox), and they were anouncing the starting line-ups. Well, they were announcing the Red Sox, and they started playing the Emperial March Theme from SW!!! Since you're from Boston and a Sith, I thought you'd like to know... IP: Logged |

Arrgghh! What's the point of being here at work? I know half the building isn't going to show up, and if the weather gets any worse, they'll shut it down and send us home anyway. Waste of time even coming in...IP: Logged |

Yeah.Nice hurricane. It rained for like 20 minutes Tuesday night and that was it. A total waste of a hurricane. We went outside yesterday to see if there was any damage...a pile of sticks in one corner of the parking lot, six leaves in the other. Total bust. A good game of laser tag would have done more damage. At least I got two...count 'em...TWO days off from work- WITH PAY! Now, my friends, THAT is slacking. Yes, yes. IP: Logged |

OK...hang on...We could do tributes to SW and slacking in *gangsta rap *Shakespearean drama *sea shanties *Barry-White-style luv songs *limericks *Lilith Fair folkie tunes I don't know...the wind and rain has addled my brain. (Hey, a little rap there from MC 900 Ft. Hacienda...) My Ric Olie fanfic dropped off of the SC... I don't know what we can do to jazz up the thread, but we need to catch on pretty quick! IP: Logged |

Hey, wait a minute, this is a slacking thread. We come here. We slack. If we get too organised it'll all just fall apart. How about we talk about lightsabers. Anything about them, in any way (but if people start saying they spend hours making ones out of drainpipe they should be put to death (we're slackers, i.e. we don't do work)). During the summer I went to Hamlies in London (v.big famous toy store) and bought myself and my girlfriend a double ended lightsaber each. We don't fight with them, however. Carn't be bothered. Also, I've had a week of school so far and have done no homework, and am writting with a lightsaber pencil!Slack on, people (but not too hard…)
