Tater's here!
Today at school this guy was prettending a pen was a lightsabre. Should I ask him if he's a fan? He's a little weird, but then we all are.
Speaking of school, I will soon have internet connection there. Is it possible to post from the same name on a different e-mail?
Can someone post links to the BB and chat, cause this maintanence thing is driving me crazy!
MTSBWY
Sincerely,
Your Emperor

I fell like I have missed everything.

My computer at the office is down again. Our whole network is still screwed and I can't get online. I had to resort to solitare ot keep the slack alive. At least now that I am home I have two buletin boards at my disposal. The slack is mighty indeed.

Slack on my funk soul brothers and sistahs.

Goodeeeevening. I'm seriously considering staying up all night so I can slack to the extreme for a change. Tomorrow is Friday, and even if I don't go, will they miss me...hmmm... I think I will give in to the Slack, and let it control my actions tonight. Yup Stellar, it's Atomic! And the guys working there remembered me as the 'girl who bought Qui-Gon'. Cool!!

Nice Tater... and Piett, I'm not sure anyone here's too familiar with the word "overtime".. () Personally, I'm going to be practicing the Jedi Mind Trick on my profs this year.

Binks2: This mark is not high enough.

Prof: This mark isn't high enough.

Binks2: You WILL write me a letter of recommendation.

Prof: Why don't I write you a letter of recommendation?

Ahhh... academia....

No work today, but sadly I did not get to go to see TPM either. I forgot that when we have a holiday like Labor Day, for some reason our payroll department short circuits and they can't get us our paychecks on time. So, seeing as how movie theaters are not very understanding about things like no money, I did not go. However, I did finish the Illustrated Screenplay and I will start on The Making of...tomorrow. At work.

Twi'lek Babe the Mesa location has moved into a bigger storefront, and some of the people in there are different, but most remember when I was trying to catch up on various Star Wars titles. We still go in from time to time.

there is also now a direct link to the chatroom and a link to the Slacker Council...

Sabe - your party thread idea is a good one - you know the "Bashers" quite well, so please extend to them our warmest invitations...

Since it's six a.m. and I am THE ONLY ONE IN THE BUILDING, I can slack freely! Not only that, I can be the first to post about the

***First DC Area Slacker Convention***

which basically consisted of me and gundark drinking Chuck during a rainstorm. However, we did have a TPM moment. We were walking down the street and I was yapping about figure skating when we came across an unfortunate Pizza Hut with the TPM promo materials still in the windows. We went in and harassed the staff about letting us have the stuff when the promo was finished. They, being the killjoys that they are, refused. Then, as we were walking away, gundark says, "do you think that guy [the manager] would chase me down the street if I went back and peeled those things off of the window?" We considered it for a few minutes...I said, "we might get arrested" and he said, "yeah, but we'd have a great slacker story for the thread..."

They had a Palpy/Amidala that I wanted and a Mace/Yoda for gundark. Fascists!

Happy Friday and slack on!

Congrats on the night out, Hac and Gundark. Pizza Hut is the worst for that kind of thing. I tried to sweet-talk my way into one of their SW ties... but it was a total no go.

Now Taco Bell, that's a franchise whose owners will sell you ANYTHING.

Darth Boss : "Jim, join me, we can rule the office as boss & employee"

Jim : "I'LL NEVER JOIN YOU!"

Darth Boss : "Jim, you must, it is your destiny."

Where upon Jim dives out of the window. Luckily he survives by landing on some of his mates going to the pub, but must get a prostethic hand and construct a new mouse.

May the slack be with you, always.

Good morning all!

And Happy Birthday C Creepio! All of 24. eh?

gundark that wouldn't be dream born of guilt for storing all your Star Wars related downloads on the company network would it?

I don't know why I just remembered this, but I thought I would share it. When I was in 10th grade, we would have these vocabulary tests every week in English class. Part of the test was to come up with sentences using the vocahulary words in such a way that it was clear you understood what they meant. I would spend the week coming up with a sort of short story using the words, and the subject was always Star Wars. My teacher confessed toward the end of the school year that my papers were always the fun ones to grade, if a little monomaniacal. Just thought I would confess that to people who might understand.

Almost time for me to head out and do that work thing. Don't work at all if you can help it! And do a bit of extra slack (is that possible?) for me!

I wasn't able to get the chat to work this morning. Is there something wrong, or is my computer being its usual uncooperative self?

Good morning. I finally got my computer back here at work but I looks like I will be out of the office a lot today. Oh, well. I just can't win lately.

Happy b-day C Creepio!

I have kind of been a missing slacker for the past few weeks. There was that nasty business and then the network at my office died but hopefully I will beack to my old Sandfarming self soon. Speaking of missing slackers...
has anyone seen QASM or AmyAimeeAmmy? I have not seen QASM in forever and she was one of the more frequent slackers back in the early days.

INT. THE COCKPIT - PARKING LOT

Creepio & gundark stand in the cockpit of their approaching Corporate Cruiser, overlooking the parking lot. There are two officers driving them.

CREEPIO
Captain.

CAPTAIN
Yes, sir?

CREEPIO
Tell them we wish to slack at once.

CAPTAIN
Right away. With all due respect, the employees of the Supreme Corporation wish
slack immediately.

BOSS NUTE
Yes, of course. As you know, your slacking is perfectly legal and I would be happy to give you the rest of the day off.

The Corporate Cruiser parks and Creepio & gundark step out and stroll towards the front entrance.

GUNDARK
I have a bad feeling about this.

CREEPIO
I don't sense anything. Actually, I'm a slacker, which means I don't DO anything.

GUNDARK
It's not about the board meeting, Master. It's something elsewhere...elusive.

CREEPIO
Don't center on your job, gundark, keep your mind and thoughts on the distant and never, where they belong.

GUNDARK
But Master Homer said I should be mindful of my employment.

CREEPIO
But not at the expense of your stress level. Be mindful of the living Slack, young Slackawan.

GUNDARK
Yes, Master.

They reach the doors to their office building and pause before they enter.

GUNDARK
How do you think our coworkers will deal with our boss's demands?

CREEPIO
Our coworker types are cowards. Their slacking will be short.

Happy B-Day Creepio! I couldn't get into the chat last night either, thought maybe my R2 unit had a bad motivator or something. Will try again tonight.

Bummer Stellar! I plan to take in my seventh viewing this weekend, if all goes well. If not, maybe I'll drop ya a line..I'll pay! Just need a transport to get to the theater. BTW, 'Making Of' is great! I like the concept art and the changes characters and vehicles went thru.

Gotta run before my ride leaves me. Slack on all!

Let me tell you about my Star Wars Birthdya party at work!!

They call me over, where there is a cake waiting. Of course, it's a Star Wars cake with a little Anakin figurine running across the grass (like that shot near the end of TPM). Then I have a card, which wasn't Star Wars, but everyone signed it with the magic phrase "May the Force Be With You."

They even gave me a present! They never give presents at these little birthday bashes. It was the Sebulba/ Anakin Taco Bell poster- which I don't have! Nice. One anti-Star Wars lady showed the poster to our president and said, "Can you imagine him bringing a girl home and having her see THIS?"

I said, "Hey, if she doesn't like it, she's out." My boss smiled and nodded his head- respecting my SW geekery.

And my boss, insead of saying happy B-day said, "MTFBWY"
