dapper_bloke, that's not something dreamweaver is doing, it's Internet Explorer. The little yellow things are just the alt's for the graphics. In the image inspector window, under the align pull-down menu there is a text box labled alt.Darth Tater, it's a login page for a web based email service (like hotmail), but, unfortunatly, it's not open for public use yet (I use it for all my mail, however) Sabe, I'm touched IP: Logged |

Hey Sabe, my "Anakin sees Obi-Wan with Padme and thinks it is Amidalia" theory got no votes? Even with my putting in "Hey baby, you want to see my lightsabe" pickup line? That is hard to believe...On second thought I will go cast my vote ofr "Othello" IP: Logged |

Hey, gang.bloke: the Slacker's Mission Statement will be on the way soon. I printed out the original SWMCMMJ thread- the one from back in May. There are some great quotes. If fact, here in the very 1st SWMCMMJ post ever.... C Creepio 5/28/99 8:39AM Seriously, I'm on this forum so much at work that I think I brought down the whole network. My future employment at this company is in serious jeopardy but I just can't stop. I can't imagine life without Star Wars. God, help me. Anyone else having this problem? I need a friend.

bloke and slackers galore--Here is the Official Slacker's Oath, my donation to the website. I'll try to dig up some quotes later. But here it is for all to see!!! The Slacker's Oath On my honor, I will do no work. I will discuss Star Wars and other unrelated topics all day. Slacking is my duty, to Yoda and country. I will slack at all times, either at my desk or away... I will know everything there is to know about Star Wars and when I think I can't possibly learn anymore, I will stumble across an R2-D2 = C3PO (proof inside) thread which will open up a new realm of slackdom. I will slack so hard that I will slack at slacking. The slack will always be strong with me. So help me Yoda. Is that OK? We can amend if need be. Suggestions?

If any work absolutely HAS to be done, I will do it on Tuesday (or have someone else do it). The reason for Tuesday is like this: You can get away with slackin' more easily on Monday because you have just come from the weekend and no one expects that much from you. Wednesday is hump day and that speaks for itself. It is the middle of the long hard week and slackin' on Wednesday is perfectly acceptable. Thursday is the day before Friday so how could anyone possibly expect you to do anything constructive on the day before the day before the weekend? Everyone knows that you have to plan your slacking for Friday on Thursday. And then there is Friday, and friday is, well, FRIDAY. So therefore, Tuesday is the only day that any work at all needs to be done. Now that we have a solid Slackin' Formula we can put it to use. IP: Logged |

gundark,I have added to your babysitting thread - there was not enough comic material! I even managed to sneak in a subtle joke on bodily functions (just for you Sand farmer) Creepio I have taken an oath to uphold the Slacker Creed... I'm off to post some more - slack on brothers and sisters, slack on... p.s. Does any one have any Star Wars work stories? I brought Star wars chocolates for my colleagues... I am going to turn them from the dark side. Also one women here has been buying Star Wars crisps (they have a little Star Wars scratch game in them) as she knows I'm strong in all things SW, she asked me to play the game for her.. I sat there using the Force to see my next "scratch" - and I got to the end! I gave it back to let her choose between the £1million prize (odds of about 2million to 1, at least) of the GAURANTEED JarJar toy, needless to say greed took over and she went for the 1 million, losing. I was this close to a JarJr toy, this close damn it! IP: Logged |

I've been asking about the Slacker mind tricks for a while. Someone finally experienced it. In my last few days at work this summer, I found that as I grew stonger in the ways of the slack...my power over the mind of my employer also grew. I sense that I may have one too close to the dark side. It is a good thing I am at home all day now.I love being able to sit at home, post online and have my girlfriend bring me a bacon, egg and cheese biscut extra-value meal with a large coke instead of a coffee. What a gal, eh? This is true slacker utopia...now if only I can manage this and maintain my current academic status next semester... "Success, heh...advancement, heh...a slacker craves not these things." IP: Logged |
