Anyway, it's official. Today was my last day of work as a summer intern, so as of this evening, I'm just another university student again. Fortunately, you've all given me hope. After spending all my time with you, I now KNOW that there are jobs out there with [music swells] air conditioning and padded chairs and the Internet, and... and...[music fades] yes, work too. The dark side never goes away, it just rots slowly in your inbox.

Even if there was no Internet today, though, you'll be pleased to know that the slack was with me. Some people spent the time packing up their desks, others just puttered around looking bored, and then left early, as I did (2:30pm).

The highlight, though, was being paid to go and buy beer from the corner LCBO (Liquor Store) for a "going away" lunch we had. It was pretty spectacular... and led directly to drinking at the office, something which -- if you haven't done it -- I highly recommend.

Anyway, I don't know how often I'll be able to get on during "working hours" from now on, but I'm sure I'll see everyone around. And Hac, I'm working on completing that Darth Astley song... should have it finished soon.

Finally got to start my weekend last night. I usually get Sunday off anyway, and I get to take the holiday because they don't want to have to pay me on a holiday. Well, we did a little shopping, then went to our favorite coffee shop in Tempe and there happened to be live music. Very cool band called Harare. Lots or xylophone(sp?) and drums.

Hmmmmmmm... Watch ANH? Or ESB? or maybe drive 20 miles to the only multi-plex still playing TPM?... No wait... that would be betraying the slack... But I would be betraying the slack for Star Wars, which is the root of all slack... ok... I'll stop mumbling...
