Jedi Soul, it's good to see you again! I'm afraid I missed most of what caused you to leave and others to get exiled, so I was only aware that you had not posted in awhile.I was sorry to hear of your loss. It can be so hard having to go to the funeral of someone you are close to who is so young. I have had to in the past and it always seems so unfair. Have a great holiday weekend. I, of course, will be w*rking on Friday and Saturday so that everyone else can have a good holiday weekend (such is the life of a grocery store employee...) What's everyone else going to do? I'd like to think you are all out having fun, having picnics, hanging out by the pool, going to the beach...hmmm, I think I may have talked myself into calling in well tomorrow. "I feel too good to come to work today!" Anyway, I am rambling. Must be tired. See ya later. IP: Logged |

Stellar... I used to work at the Gap... trust me dude... I know what a pain in the ass those boring ass jobs can be. But I quit my job about a week and a half ago, so now, even though I'm unemployed and have no money, can slack all day! This reminds of the good 'ol days... ahhhhh... When I was a moochin' kid... What I wouldn't give to be buying CD's and clothes again instead of paying for car payments and insurance...Ugh.Thanks for your support... I appreciate it... Death is very hard to deal with... ~(This is for a special someone... ).

Jedi Soul, you must be the nicest people on this forum, no, on the whole planet !! Here is a big HUG again. You know the best way to honor somebody's memory is to be happy, and to enjoy life as he/she would have wanted you to do. (I'll do the "heart" thing, but you can't do it here... )IP: Logged |

Good Morning all... It's 9:06am in the morning... I am prepared for a total day of slack... NO SCHOOL TODAY! Yeah! School is evil!!! hehehe... God bless 4 day weekends... hehehe...Funny story: Well, I was at the mall this week, picking up a gift for one of my friends,( ), when I ran into a guy from a local news station who reviews movies. This guy said in his review of TPM that it sucked. Not only did he say the movie sucked, he said the original trilogy should have never have been made, it's so bad,(aren't you just about to stalk and kill this f*ucker? Ugh...) So...... There I am, standing in line at Walden Books, right next to this *sshole. Then I notice that he's staring at the Star Wars [edit]"things"[/edit] ,( ), in my hand. "What?" I say quite impatiently. "Why are you wasting your money on that stuff??? Trust me... I'm a reviewer... That movie was awful," He responds. Oh... I was just about to beat the living **** out of that guy when this mom and her son in front of me turn around. "What's wrong with Star Wars? My son loves it... it is one of the few movies out today that is intelligent and still appropriate for children. Do you have children sir?" The guy answered no. "Well then... you shouldn't say anything about it." The lady turned back and went to the register. That's when I noticed the book in the man's hand... Before he knew what I was doing, I grabbed it and looked at the title... "Monica's Story". I laughed so hard I almost fell on my ass. Here he is, saying that Star Wars is crap, when he's reading a book about the most imfamous intern ever. "Nevermind..." I said laughing unconrollably. Then that guy went up to the register. This is the best part~The girl behind the counter took one look at the book and couldn't help herself... "How could you read this crap? This is so perverted." She could get fired for saying that, but I thought that was awesome. Ok... I'm sorry... I haven't posted in a while, so I've got a lot to say. Sorry-so-long, everyone! THREE MORE DAYS UNTIL SLACKER CHRISTMAS!!!:d IP: Logged |

Good morning slackers. Sandfarmer is home. I had a good time chating with everyone on our web site but it is good to return to the threads.I was a bad boy but I have tried to make ammends so hopefully I won't get banned again. A few of the administrators said I could return and I will just have to assume that the others just don't care. (or don't check their email) My flaming, trolling and spamming days are over and I am here to do two things, (1) slack with my friends and (2) talk Star Wars. Slack on. IP: Logged |

Thanks Jedi Soul. It is good to see your in the forums. I also want to thank dapper_bloke for his kick ass chat page. (even though it may cost me my job)It is also good to see so many new slackers and so many new members in the forums. Truly the slack and the force are strong in us. It's good to see Son of the Sons dropping in. I've always thought he was a smart Star Wars fan and never could figure out why we disagreed so much. All is well in slack land. We even have national slacker day on Monday. IP: Logged |

Good morning! A few points of business: Welcome new slacker Cheshire Cat! Welcome back to Jedi Soul and RedHot5...JS--glad you're doing better Thank you everybody who liked my song, and props to SenatorBinks2 for the Darth Astley selection. If you've been on the chat, you know that my beloved 1983 Mercedes clunker Astrid finally went to the Big Bierhaus in den Sky this week. What happened when she finally died is a great story. It has absolutely nothing to do with Star Wars but I think you slackers will appreciate the situation...my motto is "If you don't have a good time, at least you have a good story." [BTW, the SW/Monica's Story post is hysterical! ] ***HACIENDA51'S AUTO DRAMA*** The car, running extremely hot and sputtering, dies pitifully at a major intersection in an urban area. I start panicking because I don't even know how to light a flare. Luckily, there is a county ambulance behind me, and they kindly throw on the disco lights and jump out to help me push it off of the road. They then let me use their cell phone to call AAA and my office. They were way cool and will be getting a fruit basket from me. I asked them if they had any emergencies they needed to be at, and they said nah...I asked them what would happen if they DID have an emergency--would they shove me out and drive off. "No," they said, "you'd just come with us." AAA tells me it'll be within 90 minutes. The EMT's can't hang out that long, but before they leave they offer me some of their stash of cashew nuts that somebody bagged last time they had an airport run. I decline. They leave. I'm hanging out at the corner. Every redneck guy is slowing down because they think I'm, ahem, "working the corner." An hour passes. It starts getting dark. This intersection is okay during the day, but as the song goes, "the freaks come out at night." Exactly 90 minutes later, tow guy shows up. Turns out he had been hanging out not far away and the tow dispatcher forgot to tell him about me. I run across the street to get cash from 7 Eleven and a Diet Pepsi because I am thirsty as hell. I grab the last Queen Amidala 20 oz. in the store AND I FINALLY WON A FREE PEPSI. I've been sucking down the crap all summer and I finally won something. [Okay, so the story IS slightly SW related. Anyway.] Tow guy and I drive off. I bum a cigarette (I'm not a usual smoker, but it's been one of those days) and we smoke and bond away. Very fun. He then kindly takes me to a Metro station (and doesn't charge me for the mileage) so I can get to school. I get to school around 9, in time for the last hour of my second class. I was supposed to be there at 6. The only regret I have is that AAA required me to stay by the car until the tow showed up, because THE AMBULANCE GUYS WERE WILLING TO GIVE ME A LIFT TO SCHOOL. IN THE AMBULANCE. Now, how cool would that have been? MTSBWY!

Mornin' all, I see all is good in the slack! Been going thru slacker withdrawal myself as I actually had to get out in the world and DO things totally unrelated to Star Wars...ick.... like work, buy food n'stuff. Missed you guys! Hey Stellar, I see you survived the storms and live to slack another day! I'm headed for Mos Sedona for the holiday, and am wishing I had a laptop I could take to check in once in a while. Ah well, I still have tonight. I'll soon be back, and in greater numbers! Have a very slackerly day! ps--today at work is a casual day and I'm going for it and wearing my Jedi vs. Sith shirt. All those who have never seen my cubicle, the 'Star Wars Playpen' will now know what lurks among them. Heheheheh.... IP: Logged |

"This is C Creepio, I'm going in."Creepio pulls himself into an insanely sharp nose dive and rockets into his desk. The coast is clear as he begins the "desk run". Suddenly, a coworker tranmits a message via telephone. "I've picked up a new signal. Work, coming your way." "I see them. Three spreadsheets due at 2:10." Creepio continues the desk run, concentrating on his target, desperate to elude the pursuit of oncoming work. An email from his boss deflects off his computer! "That hit's not bad, delete button- see what you can do with it!" The work is closing in behind him, rapidly gaining ground. "Get clear, gundark, you can't do any good back there!" Creepio is nervous, the tension mounts, his hands are shaking, sweat beads on his forehead. Then...a feeling of comfort suddenly washes over Creepio. He is completely relaxed as a familiar voice echoes from somewhere. "Use the Slack, Creepio. Let go, Creepio. Creepio, trust me." "His calculator's off. Creepio, you switched off your calculator, what's wrong?" Grabbing his mouse and loggin onto the internet, Creepio responds, "Nothing. I'm all right." The three spreadsheets are right on Creepio's tail now, the moment is desperate. A stack of files soars over Creepio's desk, just grazing the top edge of his computer. "I've lost my Interenet connection." Creepio looks over his shoulder, the work is right there!!! He must log on! The work speaks! "I have you now!" Just then, Creepio hears a "Yee-haw!" He looks to his computer and sees- the familiar name JediSoul has returned!!!! Her presence wipes the work off his desk, knocks the spreadsheets into the trash and gives Creepio the room he needs to maneuver. "You're all clear, Creepio," JediSoul says. "Now blow off your work and go home!" Creepio reaches to his file cabinet and dumps the entire contents into the garbage. He hits the 'post response' button and begins a day of slacking! "Great shot, kid, that was one in a million!" Creepio settles at his desk- that warm felling of peace washing over him again as he hears those immortal words. "The Slack will be with you. Always."
