RedHot, man what can I say? It is a truly sad day when one of us goes down.

BUT YOU MUST RISE ABOVE DARKNESS!!

There are other ways to slack. If those proxy servers get in your way, go home, cut and paste this entire website onto disks, bring the disks into work, and read away! It's the only explanation for the ease of the slack.

Arggh! I actually had to do some w*** this morning. Only for an hour, but that's still too much. I shall slack extra hard to cleanse the stench of responsibility from my being...

RedHot -- that's terrible, terrrerrible!!!

That being said, it must have been an interesting conversation. I mean, if the guy's seen the log, there's no denying it. You can only slack with the flow.

BOSS: I've seen the server log, Bob.

BOB: Uhhh....

BOSS: I know about your little... chats.

BOB: [looking for an escape route] Uhhh....

Peace.

I wonder: Was it the Chats that did her in or the overall time spent online?

Well, remember the woman at work who stole my TPM ticket stub and replaced it with a Titanic stub?

At least, I have had revenge.

There is a picture of her two year old grandson. The boy now has the head of Darth Vader (which looks funny because the Vader helmet is as big as the kid's body). Grandma hasn't noticed yet. hehehehe

Another note: this old guy at work (so old, I don't think he's ever heard of Star Wars)picked up my Darth Vader piggy bank and with the most confused face I have ever seen said, "What the hell is this?"

"A bank." I said, not even trying to explain it. The guy was just clueless. I felt bad.

Hacienda the Amazing Slack-O-Matic 51 reporting in. Y'all can find me on the chat (I live in VA, I can say "y'all").

RedHot-- my condolences

Oh, I watched Poltergeist on TNT last night...never noticed before, but the little boy has an ANH poster on his wall, a Darth Vader bank behind his bed, and he covers the scary clown doll with a Chewie jacket. Way cool...

RedHot you must stay strong in the face of defeat! You must slack on!
Sabe You can't w**k on Tuesday because it's the middle of the week. You are so exsausted from the beginning and so stuck in utter despair because the other hlf is yet to come that you simply can't work.
Sincerely,

And now, for SenatorBinks2, a little Darth Astley:

Never gonna get to work
Never gonna do my job
Never gonna get off the Net and achieve stuff
Never gonna move my butt
Always work like a Hutt
Never gonna leave the chat, it's never enough

Uh-oh! More slacker songs from H51! Run!

"Slack for Life"
(to the tune of "Mac the Knife")

When the clock strikes
Half past five, babe
No more time for toil and strife
Not that I work
Hard anyway
Can't you see, I'm Slack for life

Jedi Council
It distracts me
Keep this sucker
Minimized
Writing law briefs
Can get dreary
But thank Yoda I'm Slack for life

I've got gundark
Sandfarmer and Obi Two
Creepio and Jedi Soul
Darth Tater and TarynS (where IS she?)
Padawan Darth Moose and special guest SOTS
And anybody I may have missed
We're Slack for Life

I may have deadlines
I may have overflow
I may have memoranda from hell to type
I may be fired
But I'll risk it for Star Wars
Hey George Luuuuuuuuucaaaaaaaaaaas---
[trumpets]
I'm SLACK for LIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE!
[big finish]
Look out the Slack is BACK! Yeah!

*bows* Thank you.

Nice Hac! I've been kind of busy today, but you've inspired me to take some time and put down some more Slack Astley....

Together Forever (Slacker's Version)

We're no strangers to work
You know the rules and so do I
But all this work ain't what I'm dreaming of
Give this paper-pushing to some other guy

I... just want to take a small vacation
Gotta make a get-away

Never gonna use that phone
Never gonna call you back
Never gonna touch that pad with that pencil (prn: penCEL)
Never gonna stay in late
Never gonna tabulate
Never gonna figure out Microsoft Excel

... more coming

Love the songs, yes. True slack at it's best, nothing more, nothingless.

Funny slacker story:
As I was logging onto the internet just now, the president (my boss's boss) walked by and gave me a funny look. I gave him a funny look back and held the eye contact until he smiled and said, "You busy?"
I gave him my best fake-grin, "Always."
He nodded like he didn't believe me and said, "At least you look busy."

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a victory for the slack!

I actually did a little work today (gasp) and it did not hurt to bad. I should be clear for full on slacking for the next month or so.

Slack on.

p.s. Do we get slacker awards and a new thread? I nominate Hacienda51 for a slacker award. Outstanding work this week.

Hello everyone!

Thank you for that outpouring of sentiments *sniff* I don't know what to say. I will be thinking of slacking even if I am not.

I see that the forums have been down. I guess I couldn't have missed that much.

Time to go check...

YAY! It's back up!

I had the day off today and was looking forward to spending the time here. Instead I had to go and find *gasp* constructive things to do.
Haven't been on for the last couple of days because we have been having weather. Most un-Tatooine-like. Practically had a hurricane out by the store where I work. No one could leave the store. In fact, no one could drive out on the roads. Would have been a great time to slack, and I did, but without internet access. *Sigh* Maybe someday I will work somewhere that at least gives you the basics of life...

ATTENTION ALL SLACKERS... THE "JEDI WITH SOME SOUL" HAS RETURNED... ...

Hey everybody. I've decided to come back to the forums. No... I was not pulling some crazy stunt or trying to get sympathy for no reason... I really was going to leave... But now I'm comming back for 5 important reasons... here goes...

1.This whole PB issue is over with. I have made-up w/ Lord Chewy and I forgive PB. There is no animosity anymore... and since he was the reason why I left, I guess there is no point to staying away from the forums anymore...

2.I love these forums... I absolutely love them. I've been wanting all week to post in this thread and others,(especially my father's thread and Hacienda's saloon). I just can't stand it anymore!

3.I missed you guys...! I missed stories of the slack! We have the chat, but you can only talk to people when they're on... you know??? With a post, you can speak to everybody, all the time...

4.Creepio keeps telling me he misses me... he makes me feel bad ! Plus... I miss him a lot too...

5.Listen up... this is the most important reason... Three of my friends, Richie Survoy, Chris Brennan, and Mike Prucha all died in a high sped car crash on Friday night. Chris was 16... Mike and Richie were 17... This has really affected me, people... Richie and I were close and I had to see his corpse in a casket on Tuesday... While I was sitting there, staring at him, I began to think about life and how fragile it really is. I began to think of my own mortality. You never know when you're gonna go... you know? So why spend my life holding grudges and being mad at stupid people over the internet, when I can be on a thread with all you wonderful people...? Sorry if this sounds sappy, but I've had the godd*mn week from hell and the support I've gotten from my fellow slackers has been overwhelming... All my friends are still a wreck... w/out all your support, I would still be a wreck too. I just wanted to say thank you.

Well, sorry if I've bored anyone... I just really had to post this. I love you all and let's slack REALLY REALLY hard tomorrow in honor of the greatest holiday ever known to man... LABOR DAY! This is like Slacker Christmas people... I think I'm going to send everyone a Labor Day e-card tomorrow... ! See ya !
